This Privacy Policy explains what information Manhwa Chat ("the App", "we", "us") collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We designed the App to collect as little as possible.
The App is intended only for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the App, contact us and we will delete the related data.

We do not collect location, contacts, photos, health data, payment card data, or advertising identifiers. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Your folders and favourite characters are stored locally on your device.
Character replies are generated by an AI model provided by Anthropic, PBC. When you send a message, the App sends that message, recent messages of the same conversation, and the character's description to Anthropic so the model can write a reply. The anonymous device ID is not sent to Anthropic. Before your first message, the App asks for your explicit permission to share your messages with this third-party AI provider. If you do not agree, you can still browse characters but cannot chat.
Anthropic processes this data under its own commercial terms and privacy policy: https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy. Do not include personal information (such as your real name, address or phone number) in your messages.
We do not sell, rent or trade your information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share data only with the AI provider described above and with infrastructure providers (hosting and database) that store it on our behalf, and only as needed to run the App, or if required by law.
Chat history linked to your anonymous device ID is kept while you use the App and deleted after 30 days of inactivity. You can delete all of your chat history at any time from the App's settings, or by contacting us with your device ID (shown in settings). Deleting the App removes data stored locally on your device.
Data is sent over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use reasonable measures to protect your information.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your data, or to object to processing. Because we do not collect your name or email, we will ask for the anonymous device ID shown in the App to locate your data.
We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be announced in the App.
